The information we collect
We currently collect and process the following categories of information:
-
Identity Data — e.g. first name, last name, title
-
Contact Data — e.g. billing address, delivery address, email address, telephone number(s)
-
Technical Data — e.g. IP address, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, device and operating system information, and (if applicable) your website login data
-
Profile Data — e.g. purchases made by you, your interests, preferences, feedback, and survey responses
-
Usage Data — e.g. information about how you use our website, products, and services
-
Marketing Data — e.g. your preferences in receiving marketing from us
We may also collect, use, and share aggregated data for statistical purposes (e.g. the percentage of users visiting a particular page). Aggregated data is not personal data in law, as it does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity.
ā
How we get your personal information and why we have it
Most personal information we process is provided to us directly by you, for one of the following reasons:
-
to process a sale, despatch, return, refund, or warranty claim;
-
to respond to an enquiry about goods or services you've expressed interest in;
-
to send you marketing information and offers, where you've consented to or requested this.
We may also receive personal information indirectly — for example, if you contact us via a brand or partner we work with to express interest in a product or service we offer.
ā
Who we share your information with
We share personal information with the following categories of third party, only where necessary for the purposes described above:
• Couriers and delivery services, to enable delivery or collection of goods;
• Wave, our accounting and invoicing platform, to process sales, payments, and invoicing;
• Wix, our website and e-commerce platform, to operate our online store and process orders;
• Brevo, our email marketing platform, to send order-related communications and, where you've consented, marketing emails and newsletters;
• Typeform, to collect your responses where you complete a form or survey with us (for example, our Hi-Fi Health Check);
• Google and Gmail, for business email, and for website analytics (Google Analytics) and advertising measurement (Google Ads), where you have consented to non-essential cookies;
• Monday.com, our internal project and task management platform, where customer-related tasks or orders are tracked internally;
• Slack, our internal team communication platform, where our staff may share customer details internally — for example, to arrange a callback or coordinate a delivery.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We are in the process of migrating some of our business systems to Zoho, a CRM and business management platform. Once this migration is complete and Zoho is handling customer data, we will update this policy accordingly before that processing begins.
International transfers
Some of the third parties listed above may store or process your data outside the UK. Where this happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK's data protection adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses, to ensure your data receives an equivalent level of protection.
ā
Legal basis for processing
Under the UK GDPR, the lawful bases we rely on are:
(a) Your consent — for example, for marketing communications and non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting info@eliteaudiouk.com, or via our cookie preference settings.
(b) Performance of a contract — to process your order, delivery, returns, and warranty claims.
(c) Legal obligation — for example, retaining transaction records for tax and accounting purposes.
(d) Legitimate interests — we rely on this basis for website analytics and improving our services, and for direct marketing to existing customers about similar products, where this does not override your own rights and interests. You can object to processing under this basis at any time.
How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes it was collected for.
As a general guide:
• Order and transaction records are kept for 6 years, to meet our accounting and tax obligations.
• Marketing preference data is kept until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.
• Website usage/analytics data is retained in line with our analytics provider's standard retention settings.
Where we no longer need personal information, we securely delete or anonymise it.
ā
How we protect your information
Your information is stored on secure servers, and on the secure servers of reputable third-party service providers named above. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including access controls and encryption where relevant, to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.
ā
Automated decision-making
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.
ā
Children's data
Our website and services are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18.
ā
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies on our website, including strictly necessary cookies (needed for the site to function), and analytics and marketing cookies (used to understand website usage and measure advertising, only with your consent). You can manage your cookie preferences at any time via [our cookie settings tool / your browser settings]. Blocking some cookies may affect how our website functions.
ā

• Access — ask us for copies of your personal information;
• Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
• Erasure — ask us to delete your personal information in certain circumstances;
• Restriction of processing — ask us to restrict how we use your information in certain circumstances;
