Accustic Arts DRIVE IV
The ACCUSTIC ARTS® DRIVE IV represents the pinnacle of CD playback engineering — a true reference-class transport that embodies the full depth of our expertise and craftsmanship. Designed and handmade in Germany, the DRIVE IV is a statement of sonic precision, build integrity, and mechanical perfection.
THE PERFECT CD TRANSPORT
Developed as a top-loading CD transport, the DRIVE IV is engineered exclusively for the purest playback of CDs, CD-Rs, and CD-RWs. At its core lies the acclaimed CD-Pro8 high-end transport module, featuring a robust die-cast metal chassis with exceptional damping and rigidity.
The CD mechanism, fitted with a precision 3-beam laser, is suspended via an elaborate sub chassis system within its own solid aluminium housing. This mechanical decoupling isolates the drive from vibration and resonance, ensuring flawless disc reading and the utmost musical transparency.
PRECISION POWER SUPPLY DESIGN
In pursuit of absolute performance, the DRIVE IV incorporates two generously dimensioned, magnetically shielded toroidal transformers, manufactured in Germany to the highest standards. Each key circuit — including motor control, laser operation, digital signal processing, and display regulation — is supplied by its own independent power stage, eliminating electrical interference between sections.
A large reservoir capacity ensures perfect voltage stability, allowing the drive and laser systems to operate at their full precision, free from noise or signal modulation.
SUPERIOR COMPONENT SELECTION
Every component within the DRIVE IV has been selected with microscopic attention to tolerance and performance consistency. Many are individually measured and hand-matched, guaranteeing perfect synergy between electrical and mechanical systems.
The housing itself reflects Accustic Arts’ obsession with quality: 10mm solid aluminium plates, chrome-plated brass controls, and an acoustically damped top-loading cover combine to create a structure of extreme stability and resonance control.
Inside the CD bay, a Nextel® light-absorbing coating ensures 100% absorption of diffused light, while the magnetic puck guarantees precise disc centring and ultra-smooth rotation.
SIMPLY INTUITIVE OPERATION
True to the Accustic Arts philosophy, the DRIVE IV focuses on essential control with perfect tactility rather than unnecessary complexity. Two German-made rotary and push-button switches with gold-plated silver contacts provide precise and durable operation, while the included brushed and anodised aluminium remote control offers access to all additional functions in matching visual style.
THE PERFECT SOUND EXPERIENCE
The culmination of premium materials, meticulous design, and extensive listening tests results in a transport of breathtaking fidelity and musical expression. When paired with other Accustic Arts components, the DRIVE IV transforms music reproduction into a truly immersive and emotional experience.
