Following on from the decoupling of HiFi components and loudspeakers, we have been experimenting over a long period with the improved damping of cables. The decoupling has been proven as particularly effective with loudspeaker and power cables.
 
If you knock on the cable of a headphone you will hear a noticeable “tok”.   This negative effect is pure microphonics.
 
The same effect occurs with loudspeakers and power cables. The vibrations in the air from the loudspeakers, as well as the vibrations from the floor, produce microphonics within the cables. Often these cables, particularly speaker cables are relatively long, the effect can be significant. With the Tower absorber you will have a quieter and darker background.
