The award-winning HYPERION is a fully discrete, true balanced Class AB power amplifier designed to deliver exceptional musical performance with effortless authority.
 
With a conservative power rating of 80W per channel into 8Ω and 120W per channel into 4Ω (both channels driven, RMS), the Hyperion demonstrates remarkable control and refinement across a wide range of loudspeakers.
 
At its core lies a custom-made 300VA power transformer, purpose-built for audio applications and fully copper-shielded for superior noise suppression. The power supply employs 18 large reservoir capacitors (totalling 147,600µF) and fast-switching Schottky diodes, ensuring exceptionally clean and stable DC rails for the modular amplifier circuitry.
 
The Hyperion’s true balanced input stage amplifies both the positive and negative signals with respect to ground, maintaining absolute signal integrity and symmetry throughout the circuit. Each channel features four pairs of output transistors, providing high current delivery, precise control, and dynamic transparency — all while retaining the smooth, natural tonal balance that defines DENAFRIPS amplification.
