The Aavik P-380 is the stereo power amplifier of Aavik's flagship 380 series, designed around the work of Michael Børresen and built in the same billet-aluminium chassis as its stablemates. It delivers 150 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 300 into 4, and it does so in pure Class A, yet runs remarkably cool for a Class A design. Its most extraordinary figure is a damping factor of over 8000, which takes absolute grip of a loudspeaker's woofers and holds them in a control that most amplifiers, whatever their design, simply cannot approach.
 
Underpinning that performance is the noise-reduction technology Aavik is famous for, developed with sister company Ansuz: active Tesla-coil circuits that cancel electrical noise inside the amplifier itself, paired with a resonant-mode power supply built around the same obsession for silence. The result is huge dynamic authority delivered from a background of complete black, with the effortless ease that only a true Class A amplifier gives.
 
The natural partner to the C-380 preamplifier, the P-380 completes a world-class Danish system voiced as one. Amplifiers of this calibre rarely come up pre-loved, and it remains one of the finest stereo power amplifiers ever made.
