Philosophy: Hand-built in Milan around Aqua’s conviction that non-oversampling R-2R conversion, with no digital filter and no op-amps anywhere in the analogue path, is the most natural way to reproduce music. A modular design meant to be upgraded rather than outgrown.

Technology: Pure R-2R ladder, FPGA-based (sign-magnitude) with no digital reconstruction filter. Discrete R-2R ladder with low-noise precision resistors, a fully discrete Class-A analogue output stage, discrete regulators (MOSFET, J-FET, BJT) for the analogue and digital supplies, and two separate transformers for the analogue and digital sections. Galvanic isolation on the inputs, electronically balanced XLR outputs, the AQlink I2S interface, and a USB input to 384kHz PCM and DSD128. Modular, upgradeable board platform.
