Fully Rebuilt - Mechanically and Sonically As Close to New As Possible
This unit has undergone a comprehensive, no-compromise rebuild to bring it back to full factory specification - both mechanically and sonically. The entire CD/SACD transport system has been renewed, including the tray mechanism, loading components, disc clamper and laser assembly. Playback is now precisely aligned, stable and performing exactly as intended. The front display has been replaced with a brand new FL tube, restoring clarity, brightness and that crisp, original aesthetic. On the audio side, all four PCM1704 DAC ICs in the left channel output stage have been replaced, ensuring correct channel balance, resolution and tonal integrity - exactly as the designer intended. In practical terms, this is as close as you will get to purchasing a brand new example. The mechanical wear items are new, the critical digital-to-analogue conversion stage has been renewed, and the unit has been rebuilt and fully tested to specification. For complete peace of mind, it will be supplied with a full 24-month warranty from date of purchase. Total Cost of work carried out by the UK distributor (as detailed above) £1736.40 (Feb 2026)
