The Ansuz PowerSwitch D3 is no ordinary network switch. Sitting near the very top of Ansuz's range, with only the flagship D-TC Supreme and Gold Signature models above it, it exists to deliver the cleanest possible streaming signal to a hi-fi system by attacking the two things that degrade it: electrical noise and resonance. Inside a heavy, resonance-resistant composite chassis sit more than ninety active Tesla-coil circuits of several types, including the latest Active Zirconium coils, alongside third-generation analogue dither circuitry. Each works on the double-inverted-coil principle, meeting a noise spike with an equal counter-spike to cancel it, so what reaches your streamer is dramatically quieter than a conventional switch allows. A built-in PowerBox section can even feed compatible Ansuz cables directly to lower noise further along the chain.

Supplied with it is a full set of four Ansuz Darkz T2 footers, and they are far more than feet. Machined from solid titanium with titanium interlayer balls, the T2 sits near the top of the Darkz range and works by draining vibration away from the component through carefully controlled micro-movement, rather than colouring it the way aluminium supports tend to. Placed under the D3, they let the switch perform exactly as its designers intended, on a completely stable and inert foundation.

Together this is a complete, reference-grade network front end, voiced as one by a single house. Ansuz at this level very rarely comes up pre-loved.
