New External Power Supply Upgrade From Densen

The cleverly named 1NRG (One Energy) is Densen’s latest external power supply unit. The component offers a significant upgrade to hi-fi systems, with a dynamic musical output.

Densen have been developing and exclusively using their own power supply capacitors for several years. The 1NRG has been designed specifically for the circuits they are being used in, instead of relying on standard capacitors.

Their power supplies have always contained several separate supplies, focusing on clean power to all stages of their products. The transformers are custom-made and mounted to minimise jitter on the delicate audio signals on the PCB board.

Current Densen component owners will be able to upgrade their units with the 1NRG External Power Supply. At present, the following models can be upgraded; B-110, B-110+, B-110XS, B-120, B-130, B-130+, B-130XS, B-150, B-150+, B-150XS, B-175, B-175+, B-175XS, B-250, B-250+, B-250XS, B-250CAST, B-410XS, B-420XS, B-440XS and B-800MK 1, 2 and 3.

Internally, the power supply unit uses Vishay metal film resistors, ultrafast precise rectifying diodes that provide no less than 200.000uF, a vibration damped custom-made transformer and two separate windings.

Densen’s 1NRG External Power Supply is available in the UK from Elite Audio. Available in the brand’s signature Black or Albino (silver) finish, it retails at £1,390.
