JBL launches the 4309—a mini 2-way Studio Monitor…
The new JBL 4309 is a scaled-down version of their award-winning JBL 4349 12" 2-way Studio Monitor, and features a 6.5" woofer, with a 2410H-2 1" compression driver paired with their HDI™ horn. The whole thing measures just over 16" tall and 10" wide—nearly half the size of their larger sibling—and will retail at £1799.
As JBL are celebrating their 75th anniversary this year, the baffles on these speakers come in their 'iconic' blue. The speakers are available in either Walnut or Black Walnut furniture-grade satin wood veneers—with either blue (Walnut) or black (Black Walnut) cloth grilles.
There is a UHF tonal adjuster on the front of the unit below the horn, enabling sound tailored to the particular environment or listener preference. The speakers are solidly built—with 3/4" (18mm) thick walls—and a bass reflex design with two front-firing, flared ports.
