Matrix Audio X-SABRE Pro DSD DAC, RRP: £1,699

Elite Audio is pleased to welcome another world class brand to its portfolio; Matrix Audio. The manufacturer, based in n Xi'an Economic and Technological Development Zone, is committed to researching and creating the most advanced hi-fi components.

Matrix Audio mainly specialise in integrated headphone amps and DSD DACs. Their high-end X-SABRE Pro DSD DAC utilises the ES9038PRO SABRE DAC chip, the flagship DAC chip of the ESS PRO series. With this internal technology the X-SABRE PRO's SNR manages to reach an outstanding -134db.

The X-SABRE Pro DSD DAC has already won the approval of several head-fi critics, including reviewers at Headfonia and Head-Fi. Dave at Headfonia said that the component had "a no compromise sound".
